Prior to joining GlassRatner, Martin has spent more than 9 years in financial services at a national accounting firm in a variety of matters ranging from formal proceedings, financial advisory, financial modelling, and assurance services. His experience includes engagements in the aviation, real estate, retail, and film & media sectors.

  • Court-appointed monitor in the CCAA proceedings of North American Fur Auctions Inc. and its affiliated companies, a group of companies that auction on consignment for pelts harvested in Canada and the United States
  • Court-appointed monitor in the CCAA proceedings of Eastern Meat Solutions Inc. and its affiliated companies, a group of companies in the business of trading meat products, providing food processing, and cold storage services
  • Court-appointed monitor in the CCAA proceedings of SimEx Inc. and Iwerks Entertainment, a film production and technology group with operations throughout Canada, the US and China
  • Court-appointed receiver of Velocity Asset & Credit Corporation, a sub-prime auto finance company
  • Financial advisor to Canada Enterprise Emergency Funding Corporation in connection with a $7 billion COVID loan portfolio to large Canadian employers such as Air Canada, Air Transat, and Porter Airlines
  • Court-appointed liquidator of Ontario Electronic Stewardship, an industry funding organization responsible for the management of Ontario’s electronic waste
