On August 20, 2024, by the Order of Justice W.D. Black (the “Receivership Order“) pursuant to section 243(1) of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act, R.S.C. 1985, c. B-3, as amended (the “BIA“) and section 101 of the Courts of Justice Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. C.43, as amended (the “CJA“), B. Riley Farber Inc. was appointed as Receiver (the “Receiver“) without security, of all the assets, undertakings and properties of 1998514 Ontario Inc., 5005070 Ontario Inc., 5019233 Ontario Ltd., 5026173 Ontario Inc., 5032807 Ontario Inc., 1937777 Ontario Ltd., 1982360 Ontario Inc., 1966708 Ontario Inc., Sancor Holdings Inc., and Leader Media II Ltd. (collectively, the “Debtors“) acquired for, or used in relation businesses carried on by the Debtors, including all proceeds thereof (the “Property“).

Status Updates

On December 23, 2024, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice (Commercial List) (the “Court“) Issued an order (the “Revised and Restated Order“) appointing B. Riley Farber Inc. as Receiver, without security, of all of the assets, undertakings and properties of the Debtors acquired for, or used in relation to businesses carried on by the Debtors, including all proceeds thereof and including the Corporate Interests (the “Property“), pursuant to section 243(1) of the BIA and section 101 of the CJA. In this Order, “Corporate Interests” shall mean the shareholder and/or other interests of Liconti in and to Havana 57 Inc., The Second Time Around Inc., 5031559 Ontario Inc., 1894955 Ontario Inc., Concrete Angels Productions Inc. and Brown Bread Sandwiches Inc.
